Got my first lawn tractor, a 22 hp Craftsman tractor in April of 2008 and this last April on the 14th the engine threw a rod and with a bent front axel and the frame cracked where the bagger attached, it was time for a new riding lawn tractor and I bought a Husqvarna 18 hp twin cylinder 42 inch cut. The bagger system for the old Craftsman was identicle to the one for the Husqvarna, so I opted out of that and got the 10 cubic foot trailer. I love the Husqvarna already, has an electric clutch to engage the blade instead of strong arming it, has guages for amps and for amount of time used, a recharging port and a 12 volt outlet for phone, iPod etc. It has a large tank, 3 gallons with a reserve and yesterday I mowed a 2.5 acre yard and ran out of gas at 7 hours of mowing.
I have a 17.5hp Craftsman lawn tractor, 42" cut, vintage 1998. For the first time in its life, it's in the repair shop (waiting for a part) for something other than regular servicing or a bent blade (courtesy of my careless idiot brother), and I miss it! It should be home this coming week. Mowing with a walk behind, even a self propelled one, is a major PITA !
