so live in an apt complex and the management really could care less about the front lawn. its 2/3rds weed, but because its green all they do is mow it once a month.

since i get a ton of amazon credit each week, i thought i would splurge a little on garden supplies and get rid of the weeds now before spring gets here.

my question is what chemicals would get rid of a variety of texas weeds? there are these ones that look like clovers but way more rounded (elephant ear weeds i think?). that is the main one thats dominant in the yard.

i can take pix if necessary, but was hoping there was some kind of kill-all for texas weeds.

I wouldnt waste your money quite honestly. Your already paying for the upkeep through rent. If it bothers you that much then I suggest moving to a better apartment complex that gives a damn about the upkeep.

Other than that a good weed and feed would help with the broad leaf weeds. Any name brand will do.

Understand though you could be on the hook to repair or replace anything that dies as a result. If the lawn is all weeds and you kill it off then I think management is going to come a knocking.

i get about 140 in gift cards each week with *very* minimal effort. i literally tap ~40 screens once every 2-3 hours. i plan on using that money to fund this.

once i kill the weeds though, how long does one typically wait before spreading grass seed? the entire front lawn is maybe 40x20, so i know i wont need much.

none of my actual money is being used, so points about that dont need to be addressed

thanks though!

oh, the lawn is about... half weed half grass. ive noticed new shoots of grass coming up everywhere, which gave me the idea to kill off the weeds now while actual grass is growing.

Warning, this is not serious:

I know that if you called the Texas Weeds marijuana, there wouldn't be a Texas Weed in existence and in all likelihood, you could actually make a lot of money just to have someone else eradicate them.

Of course, that would create another problem, Californians, Coloradans and a few others.

Im confused or Apartment Complexes in Texas are run differently.

Might take a couple of applications and maybe 6-8 weeks before I would spread any new grass seed.

You need to repair and ammend the ground before spreading seed. Follow directions on bag.

You better make sure you control the mowing and watering schedule as well or you can just send me the gift cards because id make better use of the money youd be wasting.

Google your local County Extension Office. They can tell you exactly what you need to apply and when.

At the risk of hijacking this thread, I've got to ask how you get these Amazon gift cards. Please?

They aren't getting them for free. What they're doing is shopping online and buying via a broker of sorts like Instant Gift Cards and getting the gift cards.

Little clubs get started with one person doing the shopping and getting lots of gift cards. There are variations of this but almost all involve routing purchases through a proxy and getting some amount of gift cards. Sometimes the clubs get pretty big. Block of people let someone do the buying and the gift cards roll in.

It isn't as if they are just tapping some screens and getting free gift cards although that is the way they make it sound.

Remember what dad and mom told you when you were growing up? It is still true.

A friend of mine in Texas says he uses this
method and it's great for killing Texas weeds...
