I am receiving quotes from landscapers for bushes and trees for trees in my yard and am finding the prices higher than what I can find on my own. What is the normal rebate/discount that nurseries offer to landscapers for the plants they sell. I am fine that they receive a portion of the purchase in addition to their labor and delivery charge, but I just want to know what that percentage generally is. Is it 10%, 20%, more?
Please, no lectures about me not appreciating the landscapers, or comments about the difference in he quality of plants. I understand all of that - I am just looking for transparency.

When I had a business I sometimes bought from wholesale nurseries, and saw discounts of as much as 50% off of the retail prices. Even so, it was often cheaper to get the same plant on sale at Home Depot. There is a difference is in the quality, as you know, but yes, landscapers mark it up as much as they want and you are paying for it.
