I bought this mulch from Menards, which seems to be a good source.
SKU 0 31505 11232 5. When I asked about the "blend", the manager told me this is all cypress.
Does anybody know, is this a good mulch for flowerbeds, or not?
The mulch itself is fine, but they are clear cutting cypress trees in order to get the mulch. I'm gonna guess many southerners are not happy about that.
"is this a good mulch for flowerbeds, or not?"....if your goal is to inhibit weed growth by preventing sunlight from hitting the actual soil, or you are trying to retain moisture in the soil, then yes it will work...but it will do next to nothing to improve your soil.
