Roses just now starting to bloom. I am very impatient. The pinks are twinkling dark pink. The heuchera shows bright pink blooms on tall, slender stems held above green and white leaves. The Brunnera remains ethereally beautiful after three weeks of bloomimg tiny true blue blossoms. I want another one of these.

I feel my little yard of plantings seems to be holding its breath. We are awaiting the blooming of daylilies, shastas and hydrangeas.

I have an Exbury azalea exactly like that one, only not as large. I think I planted it last year and it bloomed this year. I can't wait until it becomes one giant torch of orange like the picture.

As far as the rest of my garden, my azaleas are pretty much done with except the large one on the North side of my house. The viburnums are blooming, as well as the weigelia (sp)and assorted perennials such as echinacea and gaillardia. The cystis "Golden Hair" I planted last year is a small cloud of yellow, similar to the much larger Scotch broom with red and yellow on the East side of the house. All of the roses are blooming profusely; I even got to use my Disney rose buds and flowers for our annual installation of officers at the garden club meeting this week. I was very proud; Disney is an outstanding rose with a clear tangerine/peach color and blooms from late spring to frost. I have two of them and I just love them.

Ahh, thanks! Never heard of it nor saw it anywhere else around here.

Here's another eye catcher I saw today northeast of here. No idea what it is. I assume another Azalea or actually maybe a Rhododendron since they are blooming now.
