Moles you can get rid of by getting rid of the grub food source.

Voles are a lot harder, they eat plants, especially roots.

Moles make molehills that are visible from a distance (relatively.)

Voles don't make hills, they enter and exit from small holes that one might call a snakehole.

I've had some luck setting mouse and rat traps for voles. I put a cardboard box from a 12 pack of soda (with the bottom cut out) over the hole and traps at either end. But you never really make a dent.
