Be careful with those red tip photinia. In the Memphis area they can grow big enough to eat your house.

I once had a privacy fence of Italian cypress trees planted very close together (about 18 inches apart) as small trees and then they were lopped off at the top when they got to be about 10 feet tall. It really did the job.
