Do not be tempted to trust your relocation to this firm. I have made numerous moves over the years ( local and cross country) utilizing multiple moving and storage companies, and this company ranks lower than poor on my list! The provided quote may appear budget friendly, but that is where any customer service ends. The actual movers are inexperienced and unqualified, which in my case, resulted in unnecessary damages to the structure of my home as well as my belongings. ( Keep in mind that I am a veteran of myriad moves and I am well aware that scraped walls and scratched and dinged furniture are common, unavoidable side effects of moves; I am NOT referring to this type of problem). Contact with ******Moving & Storage during the rapidly deteriorating situation on the day of my move, in addition to subsequent requests for dialogue have been met with outright rudeness and condescension, if not completely ignored. It has been 1 year since my transfer and no review of my submitted claim has been realized. Again, may I sincerely offer my humble opinion that this firm should not be doing business with the public or be allowed anywhere near customers who expect household belongings and home be respected.

when we moved cross country we used Door to Door storage (Similar in concept to the local PODS, Door to Door as a local affiliated here). Sure you have to pack yourself, but you will save at least $7,000 on a cross country move and they deliver right to your door.

Be very careful when choosing your moving team. ******* Moving & Storage may provide a budget friendly quote, but the service is worthless. It has been over a year since I contracted with them and have yet to obtain a call back regarding a submitted claim, following a very poor move by under qualified, inexperienced youngsters. I am accustomed to relocating and am not referencing small damage to walls and furniture which is inevitable in a move. The team required frequent direction and assistance regarding loading and unloading of the truck and the transport of furniture through doorways and flights of stairs. Additionally, customer service is non-existent. Any contact with an actual representative, following this experience, resulted in rude and downright ludicrous and mean spirited comments to me, the customer. As indicated, I have made many relocations and probably have several more in my future and I have advised potential corporate and individual clients to avoid *******. However, I felt it might be of service to others if I reviewed the disappointing service of this supposed " preferred mover of the Steelers and Penguins". Avoid this firm. They act as if they did me a favor as opposed to contract for my business.

NOTE:

While the Original poster is trying to be helpful in warning others about a moving company they used with very bad results, this forum cannot allow specific criticisms against any one local company publicly posted without risking a possible libel suit from that company.

I DM'ed the original poster and suggested she state the area she was from. Then others in that area if interested and/or planning on moving from that area could DM her to inquire what local company she is speaking of. Folks in other regions would not gain any benefit from knowing about a local company miles away.

The lesson to be learned here is one must be very careful in choosing a moving company. This thread would be of better service to more folks if it centered on AVOIDING a bad moving experience.

thanks, Frank (Moderator)

Thank you, Frank. I am sorry for incorrectly using this site. I am a novice regarding blogging ( is that the correct word?) and thought I was in a place specified for reviews of particular companies. I am unsure as to the process that transported me to this forum and again please accept my apologies.
