Houston is not socially liberal in the slightest sense of the word.

In the largest city US city without zoning, you see everything. Its in your face.

They elected the nations first openly lesbian mayor.

Anything goes in Houston...well, almost.

Shouldn't Vegas & New Orleans be near the top?

I don't even see people mentioning it.

Also Austin.

That is not what this thread is about. Everybody knows about rogue cities like Eugene, OR, Burlington, VT etc That is far too obvious. ... this is about major metros.

We're supposed to rank from the list of fifteen given. I named cities not listed, but after discussing the one's listed.

Since we are focusing on the metros. Here is my try.
SF
NYC
Seattle
LA
Boston
DC
Chicago
Philadelphia
Minneapolis
Houston
Miami
Atlanta
Detroit
Dallas
Phoenix

I would say the portion from Los Angeles to Philadelphia are pretty close to each other for me. Minneapolis to Miami are pretty close and not significantly higher than Atlanta or Dallas.

I'm still surprised at how few people recognize that Minneapolis is a VERY socially liberal city.

Nobody in this thread has said anything bad about conservative or not, nor was it implied in the topic. How would you rank them? It's just to gauge them from one spectrum to another.
