Talking Still looking for the "perfect" town

This is going to sound really stupid but I was just watching Gilmore Girls and I really like their town. Does anyone know of a place that is really like that? Or does anyone even know what I am talking about?
I like that town and there is another from some other WB show I think it was called Everwood...

I've never seen either show but I just googled it and learned that while Everwood is allegedly in Colorado, the series was actually filmed in both Ogden and South Salt Lake, Utah. Gilmore Girls apparently was filmed on studio lots but is supposed to take place in a small town around half an hour outside Hartford, Connecticut. I can't speak for the way this town comes across on the show, but I have a general idea and I have to say that New England has a plethora of quaint towns, with walkable older downtowns, big old homes, mature trees, and the like, scattered all across the area.
