Just came back from visiting all 3 cities-similar yet different "West Coast" vibes/ dressing styles
Outside of the Financial district, SF is a very casually dressed city- went across the bay to the East Bay and it was even more casual- weather was great though, so that adds to the "relaxed feel"...People didnt seem particularly glamorous or color-coordinated in dressing
Seattle has many clean-cut "Dilbert" types but also a large proportion of grungy granola types to offset that cookie-cutter look
Vancouver is a surprising and contradictory place, with well-dressed foreigners mixed in with locals who either care very much about the way they dress (nice peacoats and riding boots, color co-ordinated) or those who look like they're heading off to the gym (or hike) (even if they're not) and thus look overly casual

certainly not Seattle, San Francisco is debatable, Vancouver is the most stylish. It's fun to watch the trendy Asian girls go shopping on Robson St. in Vancouver.

Having spent a lot of time in all 3, I cannot vote because there is not enough difference between them. I am happy that people on the west coast seem to be more interested in being comfortable rather than becoming like sheep following the fashion industry.
If there is any west coast city where people dress worse than Seattle I'd love to know where it is. In Seattle, residents are proud of their fashion don'ts.

Yes... b/c they hand make all their clothing right? Buying good looking clothes or not, you are buying from the same companies. So unless you are hand knitting your clothes (as some hippies do of course, or find them in a dumpster along with a jar of organic muir glen tomato paste on their latest dive) they don't have much room to talk. You can not "folow the fashion industry" and still dress well. Just face the facts, some people dress better and are more well put together than others, it's pretty obvious.
