These are probably one of the most similar cities in the world. Which city would you prefer to live in, if money wasn't an issue??

Vancouver

Seattle

Definitely Seattle. You can have Canada; it's not for me.

Seattle. I don't want to live outside America.

The cities are similar in some ways, quite different in others. Vancouver has much more downtown and near-downtown housing, mostly high-rise. Seattle is trying, but is far behind. Seattle probably has a more "business-oriented" downtown. Vancouver is more multi-ethnic.

Vancouver stands in for Seattle all the time in movies. (Cheaper production costs, more film-friendly).
So the next time you see a movie set in Seattle, it may be likely you are really looking at Vancouver!

Saettle looks dark, while Vacouver is bright

My vote goes to Vancouver... If you are not a wealthy person and/or live by your salary, Canada if friendlier then the US.

seattle.

vancouver is more of a weekend getaway for us seattle metro area people since it's about a 2 hour drive away.

plus vancouver weather isn't as good as seattle's. they usually have more rain than we do and is usually more cloudy than seattle.

I liked Vancouver more, felt there was more to do and see there. It's a really clean city too. The view from Grouse Mountain while you're skiing is pretty incredible and Whistler blows away any ski resort in the Northwest imo. Vancouver has a better public transit system and has a lot of density in its core. Both are great cities but I think Vancouver is a little better.

That's because the Seattle picture was taken at night.

The amount of light is about the same as they are only 120 miles apart. The weather is similar, but Vancouver is usually 2-3 degrees cooler year round.

I've been to both, but have spent more time in Vancouver than Seattle. I think they're both beautiful cities, and I'd need to spend more time in each before I could decide.
