That is, if someone were to move, after living in a place for decades, to another place within the U.S., which move would be the biggest culture/lifestyle shock possible?

I am guessing any of the following, for starters:
NYC to rural Mississippi (or vice versa)
Miami, FL to rural Vermont (or vice versa)
Barrow, AK to Key West, FL
That's one of the reasons why I really like this country. You have so many different kinds of places to choose from
Alaska to Key West would probably be the biggest culture shock. Hawaii to NYC, though not mentioned, is also a big shock. The Bible Belt of the South to Las Vegas. Northwest Connecticut to Detroit also.
