Let me sum it up: any northern city that has cheap housing has either miserably cold weather, is rural AND has no jobs available: many smaller cities in the uper midwest fall into this catergory as do far northern Maine and far upstate New York. If you love winter, and have enough cash saved up, have no need for nightlife of any kind, go for it!
West Virginia isnt miserably cold, many people live in much colder climates than that. It doesnt have to be rural, Parkersburg has 30k and another 100k in the county area. Theres jobs available but most are low paying but so are the Florida jobs. Besides im self employed, pays much better that way
