I'd like to change those people who wave the 'we're the best country in the world' flag and refuse to consider change, progress, or admit that some other nation might actually be doing something right (uh, just because we didn't think of it first doesn't mean it should be disregarded and just because we've 'always done it that way' doesn't mean that we should continue).
Get people to consider the thought that just because you CAN, doesn't mean you SHOULD, and consider the greater good of the community rather than the good of the individual.
Quit outsourcing all of our computer jobs to India, and manufacturing to China and Mexico. Corporations are so greedy it is sick, just to save a buck. I believe outsourcing is the #1 thing that is killing us. Our whole economy now is increasingly becoming based on buying crap at Walmart and other big box stores, and real estate speculation. That and the health insurance industry. It's a pretty sad future.
Change the excessive spending and get our damn budget under control!! Someone stated earlier that corporations are greedy and they do outsource a lot. The problem is that it's too expensive for the companies (relatively expensive, let's just say it's more cost-effective) to have their manufacturing jobs in the US.
No amnesty for illegal immigrants, fines/penalties/punishments to employers of illegal immigrants, easier time for legal immigration of skilled workers, no problems for true refugees, more affordable but still quality health care (if that means "socialized" so what, most 1st world countries have it, can't be that bad)
