NJ gets spit roasted by Philly and NYC for money. Miss NJ has no shame in her game and doesn’t care what narratives those two cities have to say about it. Denial is a river Im Egypt! NJ’s only crime is her location…. And then there’s upstate NY and the rest of PA… hill people with some nice college towns and national parks.

NCN stands for North Carolina Native; born and bred.
Virginia--beautiful state with major growing pains in Richmond and Charlottesville. Never done anything but drive through northern Virginia. We have many friends and family all over Virginia so we go there several times a year.
All the states around us have many different areas and cultures. We pretty much accept states as they are. Don't care about sports unless we know somebody that is playing such as grandchildren.
Tennessee is a lot like our mountains with less safe areas near the Mississippi River. We go through Memphis with our gas tank full and our doors locked in our car. Love the state parks around Crossville. We vacation there a lot. Pity we have to go through Knoxville to get there. Knoxville traffic is a pain.
South Carolina is a great place to vacation. We live close enough to South Carolina to make day trips to its beaches, Swans Lake and sometimes we go to Fort Mill and Indianland for meals out.
Georgia is a new discovery for us. We mostly had traveled through Georgia on the interstates. We recently spent a week in Villa Rica at a timeshare that was very enjoyable. We don't like big cities so we do the same thing with Atlanta that we do with Memphis and last year we cut down the middle of Georgia going to Destin, Florida, so we could miss Atlanta totally and saw a part of Georgia that we loved. We have a lot more to discover in that state.

What do you think is going to happen if you get gas in Memphis or Atlanta? Big city boogeyman?

Don’t you know? Stepping foot outside in Memphis and Atlanta automatically means you get mugged.
