Porn Capitals | Men's Health

Just when you think you've seen every list, another one, this one rather provocative.

Sometimes I wonder the methodologies of these lists. For instance, Jersey city is ranked high, but New York City, and Newark, on either side, are ranked low???

Comments??

What is funny is that Orlando also has the highest amount of "Evangelical" churches in the state of Florida yet we are the "porn" capital of the nation!
Religion plus sex = Oxymorons! Las Vegas has nothing on us!

The methodoolgy and the sources of data are outlined in pretty good detail in the second paragraph. What is not specified is now closely clustered the places are around a mean, and what is the margink of error. If most of the cities get a score of 45-55 on whatever their metric is, and the margin of error is 5%, the list is meaningless and nearly random.

The other unanswered question is, which cities ranked 101-200? 201-300? Or did they measure only 100 cities, and if so, how did they choose those 100?

It's not really that outlandish. Evangelicals tend to be the most hypocritical of an already well dosed group when it comes to hypocrisy and am pretty sure the large organized hate-group churches (another hypocrisy) would be the top source of porn-loving/god-fearing individuals. Welcome to Orlando and Central Florida!

I'm surprised L.A. isn't even on the top 10.

I would definitely consider Houston a porn capital.

A lot of porn is actually shot there even though its supposedly "illegal".

I definitely expected Tampa to be higher on the list. We have a very large number of strip clubs per capita. Many of the girls in the strip clubs work in the porn industry. We lost Corbin Fisher last year to Nevada though.......

Tampa, Orlando, and Atlanta I am not surprised about being in the top 10 though.
