I actually had never heard of Waffle House until about a year ago (born and raised New Yorker), and Coincidentally enough, I went to a Waffle House for the first time last week while I was visiting a friend in Atlanta. I thought the food was pretty awful to be honest.

I like them. They have locations in Pennsylvania and Delaware in addition to their more southern locations.

I've never been to a Waffle House, but I have been to a Huddle House. Are they the same?

Both are 24-hour diners serving basically the same food.

I like Waffle House. We went all the time in college at Ohio State, it is very popular there. I guess I'm a "yankee", I don't know I was born in 1985 not 1861 .
