which midwest city do you find best. I want a feeling on what midwest city, city-data members like best. this is an all round on anything, not just entertainment, or architecture....just everything. post what you like most aout the cities, and pictures would be nice.

Minneapolis. I think the only other Midwest city that has more culture, nightlife, activities,ext is Chicago. And Chicago is a little too big for me. There aren't many cities in the Midwest I would want to live in but I do enjoy living in Minneapolis.

I like St Louis because there are so many cheep/free things to do plus their zoo is HUGE! (can you tell I'm a Mom?)

kinda strange to have evanston on that list. they have their own downtown and government, but it's kinda hard to tell where chicago ends and evanston begins. you can live in either and have easy access to the amenities of the other.

yeah, where did you go in St. Louis, most of it is dangerous, and slums.

If I was visiting the Twin Cites, I'd say Minneapolis. But I live in St Paul (by choice) so that's how I'm voting.

Most people who don't live here don't get the difference, so when you total the results, you should count the two cities as one.

I like Kansas City more than St. Louis. KCMO was not listed. There is just as much to do in KCMO as STL and KCMO is bigger.

Ann Arbor is nice, but Michigan's economy is dire. I'd avoid relocating there until the economic situation improves, if it ever does.

The St. Louis metro area has a much bigger population than the KC metro. KC has a large sprawl problem even compared with St. Louis.
