Well Daylight Saving Time (DST) starts at 2:00 am local time on Sunday, March 10. Most of the country will spring forward an hour. There are certain areas that don't observe it (Hawaii, most of Arizona, various US territories). Some of you love it, some of you hate it, most probably don't pay attention except for twice a year. Any thoughts or opinions?

I'll be happy. For a few months, I leave for work in the dark and I come home in the dark. I am sick of it. Lately it's been getting light when I leave, and now it will be dark in the morning again, but it will be LIGHT OUT when I get home! I am looking forward to it.

Somewhat related, are there a lot of signs out there marking time zone boundaries? I have seen them marked at the Hoover Dam, and I see Nevada has a sign on northbound US 93 just after the Hoover Dam Bypass bridge. There weren't any signs I could remember between Bullhead City AZ and Laughlin NV.

Since there is part of western Kansas in the Mountain time zone, there is a sign on I-70 that marks where the time zone boundary is. There used to be a whole bunch in Indiana before they joined Eastern time year-round.

In South Dakota they just have a sign on the interstate or whatever road you are on that says entering Mt. Time or entering Central time

^^Ditto on I-80 in way western Nebraska.

RE: DST-I wish they'd wait until there was a little more daylight to save. We aren't even at the equinox yet. My friend and I walk in the morning, at 6:45. It was just getting to the point that it was light again, and now we'll go back to where we were a month ago.

I'm very thankful for it. I like that there's finally light at close to 7 pm.

I prefer the winter daylight savings time.
I work evenings and mornings anyway so i am always off in the daylight anyway, but the summer daylight savings time doesn't make sense to ME

Personally, why don't they leave the time-switching alone. When I was growing up, one time, year-round was good enough for us all. Is there really a valid argument for changing the time back and forth, now?

Nope. Started with farmers taking their produce to market. Has little relevance in todays age of technology.

They will tell you it saved money on energy but for every five research articles saying it does, there are five more that say it actually cost more.

My stance? Leave the darn time alone
