I'm from Pennsylvania.
Maryland is most similar, I think. New Jersey is most similar to the eastern third of my state (not just the urban/metro areas). Ohio is pretty similar as well. I suppose New York and in some ways Virginia are similar too.

I think this thread is going to get mostly neighborly responses.
Massachusetts
Connecticut and Rhode Island being most similar. Very little in common with any state outside the Northeast, and New England in particular. Though I will say when I lived in Seattle for five years, living in a coastal city with liberal politics, lots of hills and trees made me feel closer to home than geography would indicate.
The eastern 3rd is probably most like Iowa while the middle 3rd is like Kansas and South Dakota. The western 3rd is Wyoming all of the way, it is commonly referred to as "Wyobraska."
Maybe a better question would be which state in another region is most similar to yours? I cant help but feel like everyone will just say the nearest state to them.
I don't think anything is quite like Louisiana. Maybe parts of Florida.
