Looking forward to the day I can leave the city life (and the rain) behind for a place east of the Cascades.
my parents moved to Cle Elum about 10 years ago and found (their version) of paradise. Prior to that they lived in south King County...Renton/Kent/Covington areas.

Bay Area, Bay Area, Bay Area. Lived in Southern California (various cities) from mid 1980's for 20+ years before moving back to the Bay Area. Traveled all over the world and have visited about 30 of the 50 US states.

Born: Portland, OR.
Now: Seattle, WA.
Very soon: New Jersey

Moved around a lot as a little kid...California mostly - Bay Area down to LA. Parents were gypsies with wanderlust I guess.

Parents split and eventually I ended up in the Seattle area prior to 5th grade and went on to finish high school there...I have vivid and fond memories of those days as a teen and pre-teen but don't consider it "home" in the traditional sense.

Spent my late teens and almost all of my 20's in Portland. My father and much of my extended family resides in the area. Graduated from college, got my first real job, formed life-long friendships...all that good stuff. I consider it "home" I suppose, although I've had a long standing love/hate relationship with the place and at this point in my life have no real desire to live there.

Moved to Seattle on a lark 6 months ago with a job transfer and have discovered...eh, despite the fun little strolls down memory lane from my former years, it's just not my thing, so I'm not going to waste a ton of time here. I'm taking a job transfer to New Jersey as I've always been partial to the Tri-State area. (There was a short stint in NYC during my 20's that turned out to be a false start, but was enlightening nonetheless.) I'm guessing I won't have much desire to come back to the Pacific Northwest any time soon.

Native Chicagoan (northwest side).

Spent my childhood in Chicago
Spent my high school and college years in Kentucky (Louisville & Lexington)
...and then its been moving to Chicago, California (Bay Area and Sacramento), and where I live now is 'Daytonatti'...the suburban areas btw Dayton and Cincy.

Home? Well, that is a good question. 25 years here and its still not home (note my handle).

Home for me is really two place: Chicago and Louisville. I consider them my co-hometowns. That beeing said I am probably more the Chicagoan: you can take the kid out of the city but you can't take the city out of the kid.
