In St. Louis, the Central West End or Downtown are the most attractive for transplants.

In San Francisco, The Marina is transplant-central. It's about 60%-40% Marina Girls to Bros and it's a stopover for most well-heeled 20-somethings who work in the Financial District and can afford $2800 per month for a 750 sq. ft. 1 BR.

It's said that the name Cary, North Carolina - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia is an acronym for "containment area for re-located yankees."

South Boston, Roslindale, Jamaica Plain, Charlestown. And of course, Allson and Fenway, but for different reasons.

In Pittsburgh, my guess would be Lawrenceville. That also seems to be where most of the stereotypical "hipsters" end up.

Makes sense....L'ville is getting the majority of the National coverage when articles go in-depth about the Burgh. NYT can't seem to write about Pittsburgh without including a trip to L'ville. I soon expect that love affair to change to more towards EL in the coming years.

It's true, if I didn't know any better all the homes and subdivisions off Cary Parkway could very well be in Connecticut.
