If the town is in a major metro then I wouldn't care at all.........but if it's an isolated town not in a metro area, nope

Can you support this with a source?

I'm with most others on here, I could definitely live in an area of a major metro that had a low black percentage, but the overall metro had a lot, but I definitely wouldn't want to live in a place like Fargo, ND. Wouldn't know where to get a haircut and I'd be bored to tears with the nightlife options and I'd probably just miss seeing a black face here and there

I'd be fine with a 1% Asian city if I was confident more would be moving in over the next decade. Also, as alluded to earlier in the thread, race relations and segregation varies from city to city. Diversity is only nice if most people get along.
Now I wouldn't go that far. For small towns, typically historical settlement patterns help to explain that. Pick any small town in any of the Plains states and you'll find a lot of towns 90%+ White and that's to be expected given their histories.

I wouldn't be comfortable. I prefer at least 10%, but the perfect number would be 30%. I'm a black woman.

I guess you wouldn't have an issue in regards to getting a haircut in Fargo: Skill Cutz Barber Shop, best barber in Fargo, ND

There are actually a few Black people in Fargo due to some that go to North Dakota State, a military presence, some that move from bigger cities and some refugees/immigrants. Not sure about nightlife though.

We moved 16 times (so far!) and I do not mean from one suburb to another - race of local population was never a factor.

Actually, this happens ALL THE TIME.

'Where Are The Black People?' Struggling To Stay Connected | KUOW News and Information

I have talked to many executive level workers who refuse to move to certain areas based on demographics. Sometimes it's related to race, sometimes culture, and sometimes sexual orientation ... but, let's not pretend that our non-working hours don't have a sway in such decisions.

Its a fact of life in the parts of the midwest. I have seen and met many African Americans who were the only blacks in thier town. Some are happy and vital parts of their community.
