I need some ideas for vacation in May. My hubby and I want to remain in the USA and we are on a budget.
Our interests: music (rock and blues), art, photography, architecture. We are in our late 20's and aren't big into drinking, but like pub type atmospheres with live music or karaoke.
Where we have been recently: Chicago, DC, NYC, Nashville.
We would like a place that is romantic, maybe similar to an European city in feel. We would be staying between 3-5 nights.
So far our ideas are: Boston, Charleston/Savannah, Tampa/Clearwater Beach, and New Orleans.
What places can anyone recommend that would maybe sound like something we like?
Boston is probably the one place that fits what you want the most. Boston is a GREAT city, with excellent history, architecture, pubs, etc. Check it out, you wont be sorry.
I know you said that you wanted to stay in the USA, but if you want to venture outside of it a little bit, check out Quebec City, Quebec. Its the most European feeling city this side of the Atlantic.
