In 2015, WHERE would you move to if you could move anywhere? Which city? and why?

Pretend that you are single, no kids, no family, no boyfriend/girlfriend/significant other and you are age 27 in 2015. Which city TODAY would be a vibrant city to move to for someone of this age?

What about ONLY COUNTING the warm/hot cities? Which city would you choose out of the ones that are sunny & warm for most of the year?

Life can be short, why waste time in Iowa when you can live ANYWHERE in THE USA?

My reason...I don't want to be bundled in the masses aka the city life. I want space to be able to do my own thing. I fix my own cars, tractors and trucks. I could never be able to do this in a city. I like country stores to get my coffee/lunch. I want land to call my own.

I want to have that feeling you get when after a long day working you have scraps on your knuckles, mud on your boots and sweat on your brow. Nothing better than looking down a long dirt road at a field of corn growing know that YOU did that. Can't get that same feeling wearing a tie looking at a computer screen.

Give me a small bar with good friends and that is what I call life.

Well when I was around that age in that situation I actually moved to the Honolulu area for 2 years. Best thing I ever did!

Jackson, WY.

I would own a ranch and ski all winter at one of the world's best resorts.

I've been all over the place and in my opinion, Jackson is the nicest place in the continental US.

If the OP has a decent amount of money saved up and will be making a LOT of money in those California cities or NYC or Boston, etc. ($100K or more), then I can safely recommend it to him. Otherwise, steer clear!

Uhhh, maybe thats because thats the life he prefers? Not everyone wants LA or NYC. Some people prefer fresh air and peace and quiet.

As for me? I would love somewhere out in the middle of nowhere in New Mexico, among the red rock mesas, dry air, and cacti.
