I'd head for whichever city seemed to best suit my needs after doing my research. Seriously it's going to be different for everyone.
Is your idea a a great city one where you can head out to the mountains for hiking every weekend? One where you can visit a different museum or new restaurant every weekend, take in the ballet or a live theater performance? Or a city where you can hit the beach after work and surround yourself with hot girls? Or maybe you want a place where you'll have so many clubs and bars at night that you'll never see the rest of the city during daylight hours?

I'm not 27 yet, but I'd probably stay right where I am

NYC, Miami, or New Orleans and possibly Honolulu. Long term I'd love to go back to San Diego but I've already lived there so wouldn't mind trying a new city.
