In metro Atlanta, I believe Fayetteville has a higher Black median household income than the overall average. That may be true for a few other areas in the region also. In DC, that's probably true of outer-beltway PG County.
Yes, according to the info(2008-2012), Fayetteville GA's Black median household income is $85,753. It is 34% Black according to the 2010 census.

An outer Beltway community like Bowie has a Black median household income of $107,385 and it is 49% Black.

Atlanta: $57,470/$43,743

DC: $89,862/$64,775

Raleigh: $61,919/$40,872

Baltimore: $68,616/$46,400

Charlotte: $54,152/$37,785

Norfolk: $59,293/$42,519

Orlando: $49,263/$37,294

Miami: $48,582/$37,671

Richmond: $58,577/$41,412

San Antonio: $51,208/$42,810

On a similar, but separate note, out of the top 100 metros in the US, the top 5 in terms of Black median household income are and in order according to the info: Oxnard CA, DC, Honolulu, San Jose and Poughkeepsie. Interestingly enough, all of them have at least a notable military presence and I believe all of them are some of the most integrated metros in the country.

Also, this info shows micro and metro areas where Blacks have a household median income above the area median household income. A few that I noticed were East Stroudsburg PA, Watertown NY and Sierra Vista AZ. Again, all 3 have at least a notable military presence.
Something I thought about with these other metros with a military presence is the possibility of starting business. From experience being stationed in the Watertown area, basic businesses like a barber shop, restaurant, bar/club, cafe, clothing store, etc that caters to the community/demographic may be in demand or fill a need/want. This is on top of the guaranteed money flow from military residents and what the demographics show in terms of income.

Demographics may be an issue in other ways for some, but they may not be as bad as one may think depending on the area.

Very many caribbean people in Miami are black. Just because people are technically middle-class doesn't mean they are not still struggling to pay their bills tho. Ususally the upper middle-class and beyond are the people who are doing well in this country. From what I see, many blacks are lower middle-class and working class or below, but you never hear the presidents talking about that. They only focus on the "middle-class" to make them feel like everything is fine, so they can beg for their vote.

Please don't turn this into a political slugfest; there's a board for that sort of thing.

It depends on many factors. Like the Bowie info, that Black median household income is pretty much good anywhere. Same with the Fayetteville GA example. There are others.

It was unnecessary and irrelevant to the thread.

Just to show that this can be found in many different states, the census block group for the unincorporated community of Institute WV west of Charleston shows a Black median household income of $133,333 versus $53,393 for the block group(2008-2012 info). This area is 62.3% Black out of 1,224 people (2010 info) and is home to HBCU WV State, among a couple of other industries.

My feelings were hardly hurt, but the comment was irrelevant and could easily derail the conversation.
