When one looks at the situation of the Muslims in US - one realizes one thing: they are scattered. With that said, what would one say is the best place for Muslims to live in US (friendly towards Muslims, Halal restaurants, Mosques and overall a great place for all people). The options are: NY, Chicago, Detroit/Dearborn and Houston. Feel free to chime on other hidden gems.
So I'm leaning towards Detroit, because it's the most outwardly Middle Eastern metro, with the highest percentage of Americans of Middle Eastern descent. And Dearborn is the most Middle Eastern city in the U.S.
What gives me pause is that you're asking "most Muslim" and the strong majority of Metro Detroit Middle Easterners are Christian. I'm not sure if Detroit is the most visibly Muslim metro.
Some metros, like NYC, appear to have a heavier presence of Muslims wearing hijab and the like. Somewhere like Paterson, NJ or Bay Ridge, Brooklyn is just very obviously Muslim, to an extent not seen in Metro Detroit. In Metro Detroit, Middle Eastern Christians dominate except for East Dearborn.
Philadelphia historically has one of the largest (if not the largest) black Muslim populations. It is very common to see women in full hijab in many neighborhoods in the city.
I live in Toledo about 45 minutes south of Detroit and we have a pretty established Muslim community here as well. Many people here live between SE MI/metro Detroit and Toledo who are Muslim. A lot of Iranians and Iraqis were settled here in the late 1980s/early 1990s.
That said, I don't think there is or should be a US "Muslim Capital." Our capital is DC. Muslims who come here and obtain citizenship are Americans first and foremost IMO.
And FWIW, "Muslims" cannot be "Christians." An Arab or Middle Eastern person can be a Christian though and I know a lot of Iranian Christians who came to the US as refugees.

It's just a figure of speech, just as Boston may be called the capital of higher education.

Second - I believe Detroit is indeed a great place for Muslims and everyone to live. However I personally believe the best place is Chicago. It has the finest and brightest schools for Muslims and has the best halal restaurants (Turkish to Indonesian). Although Detroit has many halal restaurants, Chicago has the quality in halal restaurants and mosques. And in my books, Quality over Quantity. Long Live USA...
The thing with Dearborn it is mostly Shia Muslims from Lebanon/Iraq as opposed to Sunni Muslims which is the largest sect in Islam, so based on that naming Dearborn the Muslim Capitol is misleading, it may be the city with most Arabs, who also happen to be Christians and Jewish not just Muslim like what NOLA101 pointed out.
