I remember going to Pittsburgh and being stunned by how attractive the locals were. In fact I noticed in Western Pennsylvania in general the guys looked better then the models you see in advertisements.
Columbus also had alot of attractive people that were in-shape which doesn't fit the Midwestern stereotype.
Other cities that had more attractive people then I expected: Salt Lake City, Lincoln, Laramie and St. Cloud, Minnesota.
I thought Floridians looked really healthy compared to other parts of the country. I think its the botanicals in the wind moisturizing people's face because people there had visably smooth skin.
Living in Pittsburgh for over 3 years now, I'm surprised to hear your assessment! I'm consistently shocked at how this city can have so few attractive females, although I admit I haven't paid much attention to the guys. Philly I felt had a lot of attractive women though! I agree with Salt Lake City though, and would probably add Burlington Vermont. Also I'm sticking with attractive in the sense that they actually catch the eye, not simply that they're in shape or healthy (oddly enough I think Pittsburgh is mostly ok there), which is obviously far more subjective.
I'll also add that Texas, in general, has always confounded me on this topic. Lots of cute girls there, like you can tell they're going to be super attractive in a few years... Except, no, it never happens. They somehow disappear or become unattractive before a few years comes. So very very few attractive women anywhere I've been in that state. It's very bizarre to me, my only theory is that a lot of women seem to smoke, so maybe that does it, or perhaps these girls are just getting the heck out of Texas as soon as they can!
Seattle is not a glam city, as many don't wear makeup. However, there are many unmaked up folks that are quite attractive. Perhaps some need to look beyond the surface and into the natural beauty. And this is for both Men and Women.

In general for females the top 3 are New York, Southern California, and Florida. I think they look good in Florida because there's no offseason weather-wise. In southern California they are trying to get on television. New York is new York and needs no explanation. Also in bigger cities competition is more fierce so people dress well and try to stand out.
Not sure about which cities in particular, but I have met an uncanny number of beautiful women from Arkansas and Alabama. The deep south and Ozarks seem to be a well kept secret as far as good looks go.
In all honesty, with everywhere I've traveled, pretty much every area (especially in medium and large metro areas) has its share of "attractive" and "unattractive" people. I know pop culture says otherwise, but it's true for the most part. I think the stereotypes get us surprised when we get to an area where we already have preconceived ideas of how the residents should look. Interesting thread, lol.
