hello all. What areas in which states are the best places to live for people w/ adult asthma? That would be excluding polluted area like the Phoenix and Tucson areas of Az and Las Cruces,NM area. Thanks for all the help in advance.

When my great grandfather was diagnosed with Asthma, the doctors told him to move away from California to a drier climate. He gave him two choices, St George, Utah or Phoenix, Arizona.
Well...if its pollution that bothers you, the Florida peninsula doesn't have much of that. If it's humidity that bothers you, than avoid like the plague!
DO NOT move to Phoneix, Arizona if you want good air quality. Be aware of the BROWN CLOUD that hovers over the city most of the time. It is becoming exactly like Los Angeles minus the ocean.
My recommendations for areas that have good air quality:
northern Idaho
northern Arizona
northern New Mexico
New Hampshire
Vermont
Maine
Thanks all. i agree w/ the not so good air in Phx. Even if it looks clear, the air can and usually is, full of ozone. They often have pollution alerts. I do agree w/ the suggestions of n. new england, tho Me. has very high taxes.

Beware that some asthmatics also have severe problems with cold weather.
I live in chandler az and i came from ohio and it was terriable mold cold weather, asma was so bad that couldent work or play ball. i love sports.. I MOVED tO chandler az and i can play ball run and i havent had an attack in 5 yrs. as for the brown cloud its just cause it dosent rain that much. but when it does it clears that so caled br cloud (dust thats all it is ) but im so much better and happier that i can do things with my kids now.
Generally look to areas with dry air or a short growing season (low number of frost free days). Early and late frosts/freezes kill off or keep in check a good deal of pollen and mold.
