If you're New Mexican, you have the distinction that in most conversations with locals, the first thing you think of is "which one?".
Of course when I know which, I think of the casinos and shows and such; you know, Sin City and all of that.
Many of the perspectives are from a tourists point of view and wonder how many would actually consider living here once they knew this city of two million is not only about the three miles stretch of the strip with the casinos.

I used to drive through Las Vegas, NM when I was still OTR, all it is is 3 exits off of I-25.
Vegas is like Disney World for adults. It's expensive, overrated, fake, cheesy, and unauthentic. I've been twice and really wanted to like it the second time.
However, I go on vacation to experience culture, learn, embrace nature, and study architecture. I was bored after two hours in Vegas. Vegas didn't do it for me. It is a great hub though to some great outdoor recreation.
