Lately Sacramento has been in the national News with the shooting of Stephon Clark. In entertainment, the Oscar nominated film Lady Bird is set and shot in the city. Most of the time, when people hear about Sac it's about the NBA's Kings or politics, being the capital of CA. Other than that you don't hear much about it because it gets overshadowed by the bigger cities in the state

I'd say Columbus, Cincinatti, Cleveland, and Toledo. Although you hear about Disney World and Universal Studios, you never seem to hear about Orlando otherwise.
Out of the top 10 biggest cities, I never hear much about San Antonio.
You must not be a college basketball fan. Two days ago the deciding NCAA Final Four basketball game was played in San Antonio. The city was all over the news.
