I'm from FL, don't ever plan to return, so forget it. Where else in the United States does it stay HOT for the majority of the year WITHOUT the temperatures dipping at night?

Somewhere else in the South?

The sun goes down, so do temps. Its natural. Are you just looking for a slight drop in temps? Say, 5-8 degrees? Honolulu might be your only bet. Everywhere else the temps are going to drop considerably at night.

In San Francisco the difference between nighttime and daytime is no larger than it's in Honolulu. The only difference is Honolulu is hot while we're perfect (I do love Honolulu though, I own a condo there, it's spectacularly beautiful but I can only deal with that heat and humidity for a couple weeks a time).

Your choices for that are somewhere that has a lot of heat and humidity. In the mainland US, that's mostly places near the Gulf Coast. Other US options that another poster mentioned is Hawaii, and then Puerto Rico, USVI, American Samoa, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands.

Maybe new orleans? or texas city. I hear it is like 100 degrees for 5 months and 90 for the other 10 months.

Yeah, that's because it's 110 degrees during the day, then cools off to 75 degrees right before sunrise (read 35 degree diurnal drop). The bone-dry heat there means there's a huge diurnal temp difference, and I wouldn't want 110 degrees just to experience warm evenings.

Whereas in Florida even 90 degree days cool off only to 75 degree pre-dawn mornings.

San Francisco is NOT hot. OP is looking for hot weather.

OP, inland SoCal does get very hot but cools down considerably at night. The locals say sometimes it stays "warm" at night but that's mostly during crazy 110 degree heat waves. SoCal locals even think that evenings that cool off to 65 degrees with a sea breeze are "warm." I don't think you want the temps to go up to 110 just to have warm nights. You want warm nights even if the daytime highs are only 90, and you can only find that in the Gulf Coast and Florida, because that's where they have humidity.

Las Vegas. It is not uncommon for it to stay in the 90s throughout the evening. I'm sure Phoenix is the same or worse.
