True, though I think this is everywhere. One might be a conservative, but when it's beneficial to them, opinions change. Example - during disasters, turns out the government isn't evil. Or a job loss. Or a food bank. Or Medicaid. And a liberal who is anti-police changes their tune when they are in trouble. A great example is integration - white upper class liberals are all for it, for other people's kids.

On the other side, the liberals tend to think their whole coalition shares their views. Truth is, many of their minority constituents are rather conservative and don't necessarily believe in their social agenda. But the Republicans use them as a political tool, so they don't vote for them. If the Republicans can stop using minorities as scapegoats, they might find themselves with a considerable Asian and Hispanic following.

Of course, Trump has probably ruined that for a generation.

I have been told that Phoenix is sort of like this. Maybe the Austin outskirts. Maybe some parts of the Carolinas and Florida. Give me more specifics, I really don’t know.
Thanks
Phoenix would be the best example.

Indianapolis is pretty politically moderate. Rural Indiana is extremely conservative.

Dallas from my experience.

From my experience, liberals from the South are much more moderate than from the North. Like, in Texas I'm pretty liberal... but I'm a lot more conservative here compared to many liberals in Minnesota lol.

I imagine places like Omaha and Kansas City, "plains" Midwestern cities might be more moderate, too. Maybe even many traditionally Rust Belt cities. Its a different kind of "democrat" out there.
