I must say, I am surprised at some of the responses here. How can an American ask for suggestions on where to live and be told Venezuela? How did we become so political that the word "liberal" triggers such a response?
You know what? Liberal = American. You know what else? Conservative = American.
What seems to have changed in these equations over the last decade or two is that American no longer equals American. How did we get driven so far apart and to such extremes?
It seems to me that if our political extremes get much further apart we'll explode. I say we should tone down being so political, and go back to being Americans first.
But I am enough of a realist to know that will never happen, we will wind up exploding instead.

You have to understand there is a lot of intense hatred and resentment on here for liberals. The original poster should have never used the word liberal.

Diversity is an euphemism for racism.

The classic liberalism has long been replaced with fascism/socialism/communism/racism.
I'd suggest San Francisco. It's as liberal as you can get-with nice weather to go with it. Just watch where you step.
