Check Edgewater New Jersey, for a really nice view of New York City.

Eureka, Klamath, Crescent City or any of those border cities on the top of California. I wouldn't visit unless I'm doing a road trip. They couldn't be any more unattractive. Terrible weather, bad economy, poverty, drugs galore, etc.

These are all places that I bet I would find interesting and would certainly have some compelling qualities and attractions/neighborhoods/architecture/natural features that I would very much like, but probably not get there just because they don’t strike me as overall compelling enough, are kind of out of the way and travel is expensive; Houston or Dallas (Austin is still on my list to go to), Jackson Mississippi, Detroit, Duluth, Savannah, Charleston (though my SO has occasional business there so hope to), Cleveland, Cincinnati, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Florida Keys, Coeur d’Alane, Whitefish (another hopeful possibility- former neighbors/friends live there and have invited us)...off the top of my head.

Honestly I don't think Reno itself has enough to justify a visit for most people, but I'd definitely suggest coming out here to see Lake Tahoe and Virginia City (real-life Wild West silver mining town with saloons, mines, and everything) if you ever get a chance. Mt. Rose is great for skiing, too; I took my family there when they visited.

Been everywhere, all over 45 states, but surprisingly never made it to Houston. Would like to see other places in Texas like Marfa, South Padre Island, more Hill Country outside Austin. Just not sure I'll get back there with so many other places to see. Some others in the five states I haven't been to yet, not sure that I will but if I did it would probably be the Twin Cities and Minnesota.

Minneapolis, St. Paul, Duluth.
Fargo, ND
Traverse City, MI
Madison, WI
Eureka Springs, AR

Probably someplace like Anchorage, because of the distance. If I'm curious enough about a city, I'll find a way to visit.

I've driven around Boston on my way to elsewhere. Haven't been in inside the actual city. Maybe I will, maybe I won't someday.
I guess on some visual level San Francisco sounds interesting, but I wouldn't make any special effort to go there ever.
Miami.
I've been most other major cities, it seems like, partially due to work.
I could easily go to any I haven't been to if the curiosity was strong enough, but the aforementioned just don't have enough appeal to spend time in even if I were close by.

I've been everywhere. Covered 49 states (missed Alaska) during a sales career, and lived in every corner of the US. When my sales career ended I drove a truck for another 750,000 miles over 5 years.

Logan, UT.
It's supposed to be the safest city in the US. I have come close, but never went through Logan. Just curious.
