No I don't live out in the country. I live in suburbia. I have a very strong preference for suburban over rural or urban living (I've done all three).

I live in a neighborhood with half acre to one acre lots. Currently I live in a house with a lot that is situated so that I don't have close neighbors on either side of me. I'm moving to another neighborhood with simply rectangular lots but they are also large so I don't have people right up in my bidness. However, in both neighborhoods, neighbors homes are visible and (gasp) neighbors THEMSELVES are visible sometimes!

I just found out today that in our new neighborhood of 44 homes, there are 75 kids! Most of them under age 16! WOW!

So, those lots are pretty big. Even if I were spreading the word of God, that's a lot of work. There are much higher target environments. So, that's why you don't get a lot of Christian door knockers.

Honey, I've NEVER gotten regular "Christian door knockers" anywhere in NE Texas. In 25 years I can count them on one hand with fingers left over, and I'm including Mormons in that count. For that matter now that I think of it, I believe all of them have been Mormons. But they are so few and far between I really can't recall their affiliation.

And for most of those 25 years I didn't live on a "large lot." It's only been the last five years that I've lived in a neighborhood with larger lots.

I guess if I lived in Minneapolis, maybe Prince would have shown up at my door. Now THAT is the sort of "Christian door knocker" I'd have a conversation with! "Hey, aren't you the artist formerly known as Prince?"
