I lived in California for 12 years.

Middle to South California: would NEVER live there again
Cons: crime, pollution, illegals, insane cost of living
Pros: everything that you can think of doing you can do, nice beaches

Northern California: (by northern I mean northern, would live there again if it did not snow so much and get so cold during winter)
Cons: illegals in certain areas, high cost of living
Pros Stunnyingly Beautiful and Peaceful!, plenty to do

I love California, especially the area around Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park, I love the Sierra Nevada and the coastal ranges, i love state hwy 1 along the coast between Santa Barbara and San Francisco I think it's the most scenic highway I've ever seen.

Yosemite is great!

I would actually live in California again IF the cost of living was not so high and the pollution was not so bad and the illegals really make me mad! No...I am not prejudice...my wife is hispanic. But illegals of ANY race are a burden and should all be exported back.

To put California in perspective its like this. You have everything at your finger tips and can do anything in California with any type of people you choose to do it with. Southern Cali has the perfect weather, L.A. to San Diego with the beautiful beaches. Northern Cali has San Francisco and the rest of the bay area with its diversity.
All points in-between differ and vary like several states put together into one huge beautiful free flying laid back playground “that is California”.
All of California has some of the most beautiful scenery you can find anywhere. I have family in the San Diego and I can tell you point blank San Diego is beautiful and the beaches are top flight bar none. You will enjoy your stay in Southern Cali.

San Diego California

Mission Beach, San Diego

Beautiful Pics! Especially the one of Mission Beach, never see pics from that angle!!! I know I will love my time in San Diego, hopefully I'll be there to stay for a long time.
