It's not called being fake, it is about being "respectful" that so called real and up front attitude turns annoying very quickly. That is why northeners are labaled as ignorant and annoying. Southeners will only take so much before they tick, we won't sit around for long and be judged.
I'm not use to the bluntness because I get annoyed quickly and go off. I'd rather deal with someone "fake?" and respectful than sit and hear someone whine and complain all day.

LOL, I don't mind. I was born in Galveston, but had to leave when I was young, so I don't mind listening to what people say about the state.
I like to think that everyone has their own opinions and while I'm all for defending your towns and such, I ask that we don't get too hateful since we all have our own opinions. For example, I lived in Seattle but thought it was a bit too anti-social, but I know of people who love Seattle and have made a ton of friends.
All of this advice has come in handy so far and I am reseraching these cities. It will be a while before I move, so don't think I will rush into a dangerous economic mess right now. However, I do thank you for your advice and hope to gather more advice as well .
Oh me too! It seems silly to get so heated about something as simple as cities. A lot of people here do!
