Obamanomics doesn't look too good. All the stimulus plan did was delay the inevitable, not decrease the pain.
Carter, Jr.
Without the stimulus, hundreds of thousands more jobs would have been lost than were lost, meaning much less tax revenue, meaning states would be in even deeper holes than they are in now.

Ok please back that up. How can you prove that? What "jobs" were saved?

Money given directly to state governments for balancing their budgets obviously negated the necessity to lay off a lot of state workers that otherwise would have been let go, for one.
I'm not going to say the Stimulus was or is going to be a smashing success, but to deny that is just hackery.

I always wondered about that statement myself. I guess if they repeat it enough times, you are just supposed to believe it.
Every administration will quote something like that. Any numbers associated with that statement are best guesses, if that. I am very skeptical of any pronouncements politicians make. It's just an attempt to spin bad news properly. I'm not saying I blame Obama for this mess - I know he inherited it. But at what point in the future does he own it?

He is also responsible for this situation. He was a member of congress and he voted on these policies. He's not as directly responsible as Bush but he still cast his votes.
