As much as I love Colorado, I would probably move somewhere in North California. It has everything, mild seasons, the ocean, mountains, lots of nature. Traveling through california would keep me busy enough, lots to see and do.
50 Million is a good amount. If you arent planning on making it grow, You could live comfortably for a long time on that but I wouldnt splurge on more than 5. Then put the rest away and receive a certain amount each month. You also might need to think of your legacy both to your family as well as to the community at large.
Oh well, back to the conversation...
Something else, too. . .
If I won the 50mil now, a chunk of that would have to pay for health insurance until I hit Medicare age.
Move back to NY, although my kids were raised and still live in NY.
