Hi, it seems a simple request, but I'm sure I'll get all kinds of extra information, which is what I'm going for. I was recently transferred for work, but then it was canceled. However, I have moving in my blood now, and I'd like to relocate somewhere. The thing is, I'm WIDE open on my locales.
I'm 31 years old, single, no children, and my family is scattered throughout the country, mostly in Ohio and Michigan.
I'm in Ohio currently, and while its not the worst place in the world, I am not happy living here.
I realize that there's no utopia. I've read that enough to believe it, and I'm not looking for it, either. I just want to know a good place to move, where I can be accepted, with friendly people.
I'm not looking for huge cities, and at the same time, I'm not looking for a 2 traffic light town, either.
I have a dog, and I'm into bicycling, as well so a place that is dog and cyclist friendly would be ideal.
Thanks for the help and advice.

Pros:
Big city but it feels small
Lots to do
Four distinct seasons
There's always something new being built here
Cons:
High cost of living (highest sales tax in the nation FTL)
The winters are not for the faint of heart
