I'm basically on the border of two zip codes in St. Louis, 63104 (where I reside) and 63110 (a few blocks away) so I'll give info for both. Wow, i'm surprised about how low the population density's are for both zip codes; I thought each would be at least 8,000 per square mile?!?!?
63104
Population: 19,088
Area in Square Miles: 3.4
Population Density Per Square Miles: 5,614
# of Housing Units: 10,283 63110
Population: 20,163
Area in Square Miles: 5.7
Population Density Per Square Miles: 3,537
# of Housing Units: 9,757
Actually, I think I know why the population density is so low in 63110. A fairly large park covers about 289 acres (about 0.5 square miles) of the zip code. So the population density is more like 3,778 people per sq. mile (which still seems low ).
