I'm surprised more people didn't choose DC like I did. You've got four distinct seasons with a rather brief winter. Fall and spring are absolutely gorgeous in the Middle Atlantic and last longer than any other part of the country. Summer is hot (as it should be) but does not last six months like where I live in Florida. Also, you guys get enough thunderstorms too. Not just the afternoon variety but those associated with warm and cold frontal systems.

I voted for DC too. San Diego is wonderful, but perfect warm sunny weather all the time isn't for me. I like San Francisco too, but I'm still a fan of the distinct 4 seasons. I like winter, but living in the Northeast, the cold, the wind and snow lasts about a month too long. DC still provides the distinct change of all seasons, but the winters are less onerous. I'll take the more humid summers of DC rather than the extended winters.

I never said that DC had perfect weather. I'm not looking for perfect. As I said in my first post, I really like the four seasons and out of the list, DC provides them, but with a shorter, less intense winter than the northeast where I live. The summers are more hot/humid, but that would be my tradeoff. I like cold and snow; I just wish it didn't last quite as long. Where I am now, I would be happy with winter being Dec, Jan, get rid of Feb and go straight into the transition month of Mar.
