I'm a jeans and t-shirt kinda guy. She's business suit or nice slacks/dress shirt kinda gal.

I drive a truck. She wants a BMW

I prefer beer over "cocktails". She prefers "cocktails" over beer.

I like getting out in the country to go camping, hiking, "mudding", etc. She prefers the opera and theater.

I like sports. She likes, well......ok.....we match there

Do you see where this is going? Is there a place that is most likely able to give us the best of both worlds?

I posted before. Didn't take her into account.

Back in the day that would have described Houston perfectly.
Been gone too long to know if that still holds true though. Good luck with your hunt.

Pennsylvania comes to mind as a place where you could easily find both lifestyles, maybe in some of the outlying Philadelphia suburbs or near Pittsburgh.

Some places in Michigan would work quite well if you were somehow able to find a job there. Maybe outside of Ann Arbor?

I think there are a heck of a lot of cities where you can both find what you're looking for. Even Boston comes to mind.

Still true.

That sounds a lot like us, and Houston has been great.

I'm sure there are lots of other places that would work as well though. Any large city with great big-city amenities (culture/arts/restaurants) that is within an hour or so of rural areas (camping/hiking/mudding.) Then you could live in one of the suburbs and have easy access to both.
