I've heard in Michigan and used to say it myself. However, if I catch myself about to say it I refrain, since Palin used it.

Anywhere from Nebraska north & east into Canada. North & South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa & Wisconsin. Maybe northern-most Illinois west of Chicago. Also northern Kansas & eastern Montana.

I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, and now that I think about it, we used it all the time as well...

Old habits die hard... I still use it and don't even know it.

In fact, I was called out on it just last week at work, by someone from Honolulu!!

You hear it up here in Washington sometimes. Not so much in Seattle, but over on the Eastern side of the state you do. I haven't really heard "You betcha", but there is definitely a touch of that upper-midwest dialect over there. People say "Don'tcha know?" and sometimes the occasional "darn tootin'". The one that really drives me nuts up here though is the way people say "beg", when they're referring to a bag.
