There is one Flea Market, Smiley's on Hwy 247. Temperatures are mild in the winter.

I too an curious about the winter temps in the Brunswick, St> Mary area. I live with someone who is on blood thinners and thinks my wanting to move us north means blizzards and ice chunks. I personally dont mind a crisp chill in the air, though I am very wimpy and weak and couldnt shovel snow ever again.

Default Weather

Weather in Georgia .............
We have all 4 distinct seasons. The only difference throughout the state is the degree.
In the areas you mentioned you will have...
Spring starting early to mid March with flowers and sweet-smelling spring breezes, warm sun going to right warm, bordering on hotish by May.
June and July are hot with temps in the 90s. Not unbearable.
Augusta and early September are HOT and HUMID. Temps high 90s to low 100s. It is the kind of hot that is downright oppressive.
October, November and December are great! Cool mornings (you need a sweater) warming to perfect by mid-day. Then the nights cool off again.
January and February are winter. Temps may drop to the 40s, occasionally down to the 30s. You will need a heavy sweater or sweatshirt. Four or 5 days will call for a jacket. If we have percipitation, it will most likely be ice, not snow. If there is a forecast of anything that falls from the sky, head to the nearest grocery store as fast as you can because that is what everyone does and if you wait too long, there will be no bread or milk to be found. Everything closes down (schools included) when an inch of snow or ice hits the roads. That is for everyone's safety, not because we are wimpy. We have no snowplows, no snow shovels, no northern methods of dealing with anything on the streets. And our streets are constructed to handle heat - not cold.

Winter's can get cold at night, but then it warms back up in the daytime. Average lows in the winter at night is around 30 degrees. Winter is mainly Dec and Jan. We get some light freezes at night but nothing major. Once in a blue moon it might get in the teens or lower, but it always warms back up in the daytime. Average temp in the winter is around 40

Well, all areas of the state enjoy all 4 seasons. North Georgia in the mountains is a little cooler than South Georgia for instance...both summer and winter. Atlanta is high and gets more wind and gets pretty chilly. South Georgia gets downright HOT in the summer.

Don't live in GA but in NE section of AL and moved here from Tpa in 05. I wasn't sure about the cold either but to be honest, it really isn't as bad you might think. Of course, I was wearing a coat when others would be wearing sweaters the first year. LOL..
Listen to the good people here.. they will tell you like it is.

Good Info thank you..Former Granitestater(NH) living in SWFL moving to NE GA this fall(early) and am so looking forward to 4 seasons again...Am a bit leary (and anticipating lol) winter. I am looking forward to it. I used to laugh at the thought of closing a town or county etc down at an inch of snow being from NH but since visitng it makes alot more sense to me and without "winter gear for the elements" it now makes perfect sense...Can you tell me when its "fall" as in leaves ...my daughter and I are looking forward to that more than anything else about the weather..Although I bet when and if it finally does "snow" she will just about come unglued..she unlike me MISSES AND LOVES SNOW....She never had to drive in it lol...like I did..NOT ...never again pleae GOD lol...
Thanks again...Lisa
