Is the Aquatic Center free or a cost to join? It looks great for swimming! Is the weather warm enough to swim outside a large part of the year? I am in Memphis and most pools here are Memorial Day-Labor Day, and I think the weather is similar, although Atlanta area may be a tad warmer (not good for summer I thought Memphis was as hot as it gets!!)

renting may be a good option for us at first until we are sure where we want to live, although if the interest rates stay this low we may be wise to buy!

Also check out Timberlake Subdivision (could be spelled Timber Lake Subdivision). This is actually considered in Fayetteville ,basically south PTC, but still has access to golf cart paths and has a community POOL. We have friend who live there and you are also still zoned for Peachtree City schools. Houses range from 300K to in the millions- just depends what you are looking for. We moved here 2 1/2 years ago and have not regretted it! We live what would be considered south PTC (south of the HWY54). I just took the golf cart to the library today with my two young kids, We also live about 5 minutes from Kroger (shopping) by golf cart. You will not regret a decision to move to PTC.

The Aquatic center is open year round and they do charge a fee. If the pools there are closed it is normally to covert it to a covered pool area for winter and visa -versa in the spring and that is just for a few days.

Thanks for all the advice! I saw the price info on the aquatic center page. We love everything we have found out about PTC so far. Got an info booklet in the mail today as well. It is pretty likely we will move there this summer. Will be sad to leave TN., where we have both lived our whole lives, but happy to move to such a great family-friendly area with great schools and recreational activities! This likely will be where we live permanently and it sounds like everybody loves it and would be a great fit for our family!

Default update-moving to PTC soon!

We are moving the end of July to PTC! We are right on the Fayetteville/PTC line so our address is technically Fayetteville but Starrs Mill schools. We have a house under contract in WoodCreek and love the neighborhood! We have heard nothing but good things about the area, the people we met are extremely friendly, schools are great and we are excited to move there!
