I will be working in Clayton County in College Park but trying to live outside of the area. I was told Camp Creek was a nice area to live in. Do you have any suggestions where? I do not want to buy. I am looking to rent a Townhome or an Apartment. I do have kids. Please help!

Camp Creek is not necessarily as nice as much as it is a newer area that is close to shopping and amenities at the recently constructed Camp Creek Marketplace at the junction of I-285 & Camp Creek Parkway.

Because the area is relatively close to a higher-crime area in Southwest Atlanta and Southwest Fulton County (the very-urban cities of East Point and College Park are located just east of I-285), property crime (auto thefts and break-ins) and even violent crime (armed robberies, carjackings, violent home invasions) is not uncommon in the area.

If you do decide to move to the area, one might be careful about locating in the attendance zone for Atlanta Public Schools, which is a school district that in recent years has arguably had administrative issues that are even more substantial than Clayton County Schools have had.

It MIGHT also help you to get more replies if you moved this post over to the Atlanta forums.
